What we cover
We cover channel managers only, the layer that keeps availability, rates and bookings in sync across Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and Expedia. Many of the tools we review also ship a property management system or a direct-booking website; we note that in each review, but our scores and rankings are about channel management first.
How we test
Every tool is set up in a live host account, connected to at least one OTA where a sandbox is available, and run through a common task list: onboarding a property, syncing rates and availability, taking a test booking, resolving a simulated double-booking, and pulling an owner statement. No vendor pays for placement in our rankings or a favourable score. If a vendor pays us anything, including affiliate revenue on an outbound link, we say so plainly on that page. Prices are re-checked every quarter and every tool is re-scored whenever a vendor ships a material product change.
Corrections policy
If we get something wrong, we correct it on the page and note the change in the update log at the bottom of the affected review. Vendors can request a re-review after a major product change; we re-test, but we don't guarantee a higher score.
